The Trail Duster 2.0 is a highly configurable square or rectangular backpacking tarp designed to provide generous coverage for ground camping. Its full-width and versatile design allow it to easily double as a hammock tarp as well.
Choose your preferred tarp size, straight or catenary-cut edges, tie-out hardware, and optional attachment points to configure the tarp for your setup.

Sizing and Coverage
Choose length and width for the area you want to shelter. Longer or wider configurations provide more coverage but increase finished weight and packed size. For hammock use, consider coverage beyond the hammock ends and along its sides.

I ordered my tarp from simply light because I wanted to support a small business. I took it on a 2 week backpacking trip to the mountains in southern CO. It was setup and taken down nearly everyday. It is very light to carry. The tarp performed wonderfully and kept me dry through almost daily rain storms. My 8 tie outs and line locs worked great. The tarp didn’t sag when it got wet. It held up in the wind. Couldn’t have asked for more, great product and workmanship!
I love polyester tarps. No rain-soaked sagging. No stretch. Amazing look and feel. But finding a rectangular shaped tarp instead of the catenary cut proved to be a lot harder than expected. I finally found the tarp I wanted and wow, what a tarp it is! It is lighter than my Kelty tarp, the tie-outs are awesome, and it is an absolute beauty. I can't be happier. Oh yeah, and Jared is amazing!
I have purchased many items over the last few years from simply light. I usually need a little or sometimes a lot of customization and I am never disappointed. I had them make this tarp in a blaze orange for a spring bear hunt as an emergency shelter with the ability to signal. As usual it was perfect
